Sound is a series of impressionist observations of the desire for ever higher resolution and detail through the digital window, and the simultaneous consent to dissolution and pixilation of the direct human experience. Over a one-year period at the same location on each of 100 crossings of the Long Island Sound, one high-definition seascape photograph was taken. These high-definition digital images were processed and degraded to the point that the subject matter is nearly unrecognizable.  The images are then printed to high-resolution translucent film and mounted to allow natural backlighting to filter through the image.
